SHE visits Aftercare Home for mentally challenged Women
She for society visited the “Aftercare home for mentally challenged women,” an organisation that houses approximately 100 mentally challenged women and children.
When the women and children here became overwhelmed, they would/could harm themselves or each other by picking fights, scratching, pulling hair, or injuring themselves. They needed a steriliser for the same reason. And the She team stepped in to help by donating an autoclave machine, which is used to sterilise first aid items such as gauze, bandages, scissors, and so on. This equipment ensures complete microbe elimination while sterilising with the help of high-pressure steam. This provides sterilised items to the inmates, lowering the risk of further infections in the already wounded areas.
Along with the equipment, we gave each resident a woollen blanket in preparation for winter, so they wouldn’t have to share and maintain cleanliness.
Recognising genuine requests and legitimate need of the hour situations has always been She team’s mission and driving force. we are very happy with a day well spent with the most satisfying gesture by the team! Lead by Aarthi Aaru with Kavitha Prabhakar and Shwetha Gubbi.
