Today was very memorable as we from She for Society visited the ‘Aftercare home for mentally Retarded women’ an organisation housing about 100 mentally challenged women and kids.

Our survey data shocked us when we were made aware that there were 1600 physically challenged people suffering from a multitude of ailments that were residing in a village called Koira situated near Devanahalli.
Although these people were putting a lot of effort to alleviate their toiling livelihood, the lockdown made their situation far worse.
Today, we the team at SHE for Society distributed 208 kits to construction workers , garbage pickers, plumbers and others who live in Gavipuram Govt quarters who have lost jobs since lockdown.
We thank MLA Garudachar for their support and contributions by considering their needs and providing 100 kits to them.
Project led by Vidya Manjunath and Kavitha Prabhakar.

We distributed 1200 sanitary packs to migrant workers (Nagarbhavi), garment workers(Kamakshipalya) and slum dwellers(Somanahalli). These migrants workers while struggling for basic needs such as daily food , without a regular job in hand right now , have not much choice about caring for self hygiene at all. Cleanliness and hygiene is the least of the priority for these women in this unprecedented tough times.

It’s been our utmost priority at SHE FOR SOCIETY to always recognise the real needy people and take steps to help , and bring in a difference in their lives .
Today we are ecstatic as we completed distribution of “ groceries kits “ to 250 visually challenged and physically challenged people in a weeks time in different locations of Bangalore who are forced to stay at home without supporting jobs due to the lockdown

Recognizing the unrecognized and reaching the right people is the mission of SHE for Society. Today we distributed grocery kits to 40 visually challenged people who have lost jobs in cane handicrafts, candle making and others in Leggere

We are happy that , SHE for Society successfully completed distributing grocery kits to 150 Transgenders(the unrecognized community) and few physically challenged people with the help of Team Corona Kaligalu in Nagarbhavi today .
She For Society” has always taken a lot of efforts to recognise and reach the right people, especially the ignored ones in society. It’s our most important intention to always forward our funds to the deserving people. We make sure the efforts gone in for raising the funds are worthwhile and satisfying. We are elated today , as we distributed grocery kits to people struggling for basic food for almost a year now – the vulnerable and unrecognised women!

We at She for Society are grateful and honoured to have participated in ‘India’s first patriotic trip’. Bengaluru was the epicentre for India’s first ever patriotic ride and it beared witness to the immense love and support given to Mr. Umesh Jadhav on his noble mission to collect the soils from the natives of all the martyrs across India as a tribute to our fallen heroes.

This thought inspired us to celebrate India’s festival of giving ‘Daan Utsav’. She for Society distributed various Medicinal plant saplings and over 4000 wild tree seedlings

She for Society believes in ‘riding for a purpose’. We aspire to break the stereotype and empower women to go beyond the societal boundaries binding them. In view of our belief we are organising a 2 day boot camp for aspiring female motorbike riders.

On the event of World Environment Day, She for Society was determined to support a project to conserve Nature. We initiated this great work and visited the place to give our best to the project on eve of World Motorcycle day, for being the group of Women bikers. What a great coincidence when two great objectives come together – She stands for Society in a Swag…

She for Society, on account of the 71st Republic Day, are organising a never before seen ‘women bikers parade’ with more than 200+ riders geared up for the event. A ride which flags off from freedom park. We were overwhelmed by the participation and support shown by everyone who attended the parade.
