International Womens’ Day 2021, She for Society in association with COWE

She for Society, in collaboration with COWE (Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs), celebrated International Women’s Day 2021 in a big way.

The following were the event’s highlights:

The Entrepreneurial Development Program was launched by our distinguished chief guest, IPS Roopa Moudgil, who was joined by Harshini Venkatesh, Founder President of She for Society, Pallavi Shekar, Karnataka Chapter President of COWE, and Mrs Radha Kolli (Intl Human Rights Assn. President)

Powerful SHE Talk moderated by Kasturi Cotha (SHE Founder member) with our upcoming speakers of the day – IPS Roopa Moudgil, DSP CID Geetha Kulkarni, Veernaari Padma Sangli, Veernaari Salma Shafeeq Ghori, Veernaari Dr Sonal Mittra.
Dr Asha S Vijay, Chairperson of IVF, GarbhaGudi, will give a women’s health talk – after all, health is wealth!!

The main event of the celebrations was the felicitation of women officers and women from Indian Armed Forces families. Mr Uday Garudachar, MLA – Chikpet Constituency, and Mrs Medhini Uday Garudachar, Chairperson of GARUDA FOUNDATION, Director of GARUDA MALL & GARUDA Group of Companies, presided over the event (in fact our venue partner for the celebrations). We develop Our Impact in – Empowerment and Development programmes to assist war widows and Veernaaris at She for Society. Nature conservation and self-sustainability measures What an amalgamation to bring both of these impacts together to launch the Entrepreneurial Development Program offered by COWE in collaboration with She for Society, for women from Indian Armed Forces families.

We launched it symbolically by watering plant and allowing it to nurture Nature and grow to create sustainable means.
We hope that as this plant grows and matures, the EDP programme will enable all women to develop their lives sustainably
With SHE Talk, we investigated how powerful and influential women became who they are today.
We talked about how they break the glass ceiling and deal with stereotypes.
What keeps them going and what is their inner strength?

What helps them to be more resilient in difficult times – and so on.

Dr Asha Vijay walked us through the true essence of staying healthy, what it takes to stay healthy, and simple lifestyle changes one can make to stay healthy and safe.
After all, women’s health is extremely valuable.
It was indeed the highlight of the celebrations to honour the Women Officers and women from Indian Armed Forces families.
At She for Society, we recognise that if our true heroes are willing to risk their lives at the borders to provide us with safety and security, it is only because they know their true heroes – their mothers and wives – will look after their families.
The spirit of Nation First is deeply ingrained in these women; our heartfelt condolences to these true heroes. All is well that ends well – we were moved by the appreciation and recognition we received from all of the women who were honoured. It was nothing short of an award ceremony for them. We would like to thank all of the sponsors, as well as Mrs Gayathri Suresh, a member of SHE and COWE, for making this event a success. This outpouring of love and affection keeps She for Society on the move, bringing in more impactful and meaningful work. Jai Hind khi Sena – Jai Hind khi Sena families…
