75th Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav

“THE MOST SUCCESSFUL EVENT IS THE ONE THAT ACHIEVES YOUR GOALS AND EXCEEDS YOUR EXPECTATIONS”.

A 5KM run with the soldiers was organised by the SHE team to celebrate the 75th Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. It was one of our biggest events yet and the support, enthusiasm and participation overwhelmed us with joy. To see the level of participation from the people of Namma Bengaluru acts as a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go.

We had invested two whole months of our time and effort, this event required serious commitment as every event we organise is always bigger and better than the preceding event. The event wouldn’t have been successful without our collaborators the Indian Army and Bangalore traffic police who cooperated with us and facilitated all our requests gracefully and for which we would like to extend our gratitude to them. This smooth collaboration was due to the credibility we have built-in serving others for the past 3 years.

We would like to wholeheartedly thank The INDIAN ARMY for sending across 250 soldiers to participate in our marathon and also for sending 30 members of the Indian Military Band.
We also like to thank Mr Shivanna, President of Akhila Karnataka Ex-Soldiers Association who managed to get us 250 former Soldiers and 400 NCC students to support this event. We appreciate the effort put forth by the 130 volunteers from CMR college and St. Joseph’s College. We are also grateful to all of the 2000 participants who took part in this event making it both successful and memorable.
