SHE DIVA – Bengaluru’s First ever Women Bikers Awards

Break The Bias

Daughter, sister, wife, mother, employee, homemaker, and entrepreneur are just some of the titles she wears. SHE effortlessly accomplishes all of this and more. Women riders are another group that does all of this and more with SWAG.

This brave group has delivered results over the years by combining work, play, and social work in a heady mix.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, SHE FOR SOCIETY presented the ‘SHE DIVA’ awards to female riders in collaboration with sponsors FFolio, The Black Pearl, Salon DE Elegance, GS group of companies, Trail master India, Dharani Homes, AestheBio Aesthetics, and Toast on Terrace. This is the first award of its kind, honouring female riders who are brave and have tender spirits. Thirty riders were honoured on this special occasion. The list of accomplishments is far too long to mention, ranging from riding the most treacherous terrains, covering thousands of kilometres, and assisting society in normal and difficult Covid times. These women have made a difference by distributing rations, hygiene kits, and medicines to the elderly and those in need, as well as by celebrating orphans’ birthdays.

The event began in a glamorous manner in Bangalore’s most iconic FFolio studio, a room filled with beautiful clothes and even more beautiful people. Vandana Kohli, author and filmmaker, discussed her new book ‘Hinge’ and also the challenges of mental health and well-being. This was followed by motivational speeches from all of the sponsors. It was incredible to learn about all of the wonderful things these women have accomplished. An evening filled with interesting conversations, delectable snacks, and thoughtfully curated gift baskets.

The party then moved on to ‘The Black Pearl’ themed bar and global eatery in the heart of Koramangala
The music, atmosphere, and delicious food were truly celebration and tribute to all of their mighty hard work.
As we prepare for International Women’s Day, it’s time to break the cycle of bias, beginning with ourselves, our homes, and our communities.
Let us not fight for equality, but rather believe that we are already equal – the first bias to overcome.
WE WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY!
